Pumpkin Patch...and 25 weeks!

We took Ellie to the pumpkin patch on Monday. She had a blast! She was all smiles and loved running around from pumpkin to pumpkin, looking for the perfect one.

I was a little worried at how it would go, since we had to go after Ryan got home from work, and not on a weekend since our weekends are just too full. That, and teething. Oh, wretched teething! She has been a mess with that, most recently not even wanting to sit in her high chair to eat, but wanting to sit on my lap. I hate that those chompers hurt so much!

Oh, oh, but she now has ANOTHER tooth! Yup! She now has a "fang". Baby half-vampire for Halloween, maybe?

But when we got to the farm, she was all smiles, starting with the wagon ride. She LOVED that. She did really well sitting on her bottoms and holding on too. Looks like I need to start looking around for a wagon for this girl. And you can see her little chomper. Sigh. So cute.

She then proceeded to run all around the pumpkin patch. We had it all to ourselves, so she got to go crazy!

We did manage to find the perfect pumpkin, although I don't think she'll fit in it this year! But we all had fun, and then stopped for some yummy soup and sandwiches afterwards.

Oh, and because I'm feeling all sappy and sentimental, how in the world did this happen???

Okay, so now for a "Baby S" update. Yes, we can officially start calling her Baby S now.

How far along:  25 weeks
How big is baby: The size of a zucchini. 13.6 inches. At the ultrasound they said she was 1lb 15oz. Of course, we all know how much I trust ultrasound measurements, right?
What I've done to prep for baby: Not a whole lot this week. Set a date to do an Ikea run. Oh, and got some stuff to start putting together "busy bags" for Ellie. Must get a move on...we are getting close to the countdown being in double digits, so I am starting to FREAK OUT. Oh, and we started to clean out the study to turn it into S's room. I still can't believe we are doing another nursery.
Best moment of the week: Seeing Baby S on the ultrasound. She looks SO much like Ellie did as a newborn. Like, identical. How cool is that?
See?
Oh, and I felt hiccups for the first time today. Love that!
Food cravings: Meh, still not really having "cravings" per say. Probably part of that is that I kinda eat whatever I can cram down while chasing around the bean.
Symptoms: Nothing new here. Well, I guess I am having a lot more heartburn than I had with Ellie. I know the wives' tale about the baby having hair. If that is true, E will NOT be happy, since she is still my little baldy!
Movement: It was hard to get her MCA's on the ultrasound since she was moving so much. Silly little girl! She loves to have middle-of-the-night dance parties too.
What I’m looking forward to: Starting to check things off my never-ending to-do list. That has got to happen at some point in time, right?
Next appt: OB and endo in a week and a half. Oh, and I have to do another 1 hour glucose test soon. Oh joy. Fingers crossed that I can pass this one!

Teething and 24 weeks!

Whew, what a couple of weeks. Ellie now officially had her first tooth. Her bottom left tooth popped through. And there are a BUNCH that are just waiting to join it. My toothless wonder won't be toothless for long! Teething sure does stink, though. Last night she was up 7 times. Oy. She is definitely not herself.

She is a little climbing monster, though. She will climb anything. Boxes, totes, her chair, anything. And she's so stinking proud of herself, that it kills me when I have to tell her to get her little behind back down.

Oh, and this also gets us into some interesting situations. Like when she climbs the new stroller and figures out how to get into the basket underneath.

She is so much fun these days, though. Oh, you wanna see?
She can roar. Yes this is the cutest thing ever. I wish it was louder in the video.
She LOOVES playing with Truffle.
Oh, and she thinks Daddy is the silliest thing ever.
Seriously, though, I just love this girl!

And...quick update on number 2!

I had an OB appointment a week and a half ago. Other than waiting FOREVER, it went well. Blood pressure was good. Heartbeat sounded great. Some doctors in the practice are annoying. The doc I had this time said I'm measuring big, and was concerned about gestational diabetes. First, I could have told you that. I feel HUUUUUGE already, compared to last time. Second, my sugars, when I have been checking them occasionally are FINE, as well as my weight gain (6lbs at 23 weeks). Surely that could have nothing to do with that fact that my poor abs only got a 7 month break before I threw them into being stretched again, right?

How far along:  24 weeks
How big is baby: The size of a grapefruit. 11.8 inches.
What I've done to prep for baby: Oooooh, ooooooh, I've got something this week! I ordered the fabric for her room! It arrived and I am in love! We also started looking at paint colors. And I ordered her "Namely Pillow"
Best moment of the week: I checked my sugar numbers this week for grins and they were REALLY good. I don't have to do my next diabetes test until the beginning of November, but I am holding out hope!
Food cravings: I'm really into the stage where NOTHING sounds good. Eating is already a big struggle. Sigh. It stinks when I'm REALLY hungry and then can't eat much at all.
Symptoms: Not feeling the greatest food-wise, like I said. I am getting to the point where my hips feel like they are going to pop off too. Ick. I'm SOOOO thankful for my pillow "fortress." And for my husband that puts up with a teeny sliver of the bed between my pillow fortress and a pup who thinks he owns the bed.
Movement: Yup! The last couple days she's slowed down a little, which I don't like. I guess everyone has "chill out" days, right?
What I’m looking forward to: I get a peek at our girl next week at a MFM appointment. I'm pretty excited about that!
Next appt: Tuesday with my MFM.

22 weeks and homecoming!

It was a crazy busy week as usual! In Ellie news, I took her to the homecoming parade today. It was so much fun, we went with a friend of mine and her 4-month-old. Ellie had a ton of fun playing with the big girls. It was kind of funny, though. So many people came up asking to hold her, and didn't understand why some kids were allowed to and some weren't. Uh, those are the kids that Ellie sees multiple times a week at the gym. Heck, she about jumped out of my arms to go see her buddy Kendra.

Yeah, and that outfit? 45 minutes and digging through all the craft stuff in the basement. Yup, my own little version of project runway! Not bad, eh?

But playing with all the big girls was awesome for her.

And what about Baby Number 2?  Well...

How far along:  22 weeks
How big is baby: The size of a papaya. 10.9 inches.
What I've done to prep for baby: Bwhahahahahaha. I woke up one morning at 4:30am and couldn't go back to sleep because I was stressing out about middle names. Does that count??? I just want to settle on a middle name already!
Best moment of the week: With little one 2? Uh, she's moving a lot. I love that...
Food cravings: Ryan is currently running to Martin's at 9pm on a Friday night to get me Captain Crunch. Uh...what? Whatever. Nothing sounds good. And it hasn't for awhile. But Captain Crunch today....OMG...sounds like heaven. If it ends up tasting gross to me, I will cry.
Symptoms: Been feeling icky in the middle of the night for the past couple days. I don't now if it is where she is laying or what. But it is making me sick and light headed. NOT good, peanut!
Movement: Oh yes. She can wake me up by moving now!
What I’m looking forward to: A nice weekend with the fam, and taking it a little easier.
Next appt: Tuesday with the OB.
